I warmly welcome you to the PNG Science and Technology Council and the Secretariat website. It has been our desire to reach out to our stakeholders, partners and research community members through this medium. Through this portal, we can now share results of work we do, and how we interphase and provide the linkage between scientific knowledge, policy and society.
Research is not our mandate, but we reach out with a Mission to support and grow substance in the research and development programs and activities through collaboration with universities, research institutions, civil societies and industry. The Science and Technology Council is a peak body, comprised of very eminent scientist, researchers, leaders and administrators from different areas of sciences and social sciences, is tasked to set research agenda and priorities, and formulate policies, and provide coordination of all research programs and activities in the country.
