Provides the administrative and executive duties of the Council. To deliver core duties of the Council Secretariat is divided into six operation division.
The management team the council support, the oversight of and operational management of the Secretariat, and provide adversarial role on Science and scientific matters, and Collaboration and Partnerships Programs.



The Policy team provides overall coordination and policy intervention program for Science.

The team provides research infrastructure investment and maintenance programs, including;
This program is a RSTI Technical Support Program in which Support Grants are awarded through Research Infrastructure Schemes for projects that look at maintenance, rehabilitation and building of research infrastructures and the maintenance, procurement of research equipment.

The Grants division takes charge of research grants and research implementation, monitoring and evaluation programs. This also includes;
This program is a RSTI Technical Support Program in which Foreign Research Projects across all areas of Research and Development are vetted for research approval.
This Program is a RSTI Technical Support Program in which Grants are, through a process of call ‘Call for Proposals’, awarded. The RSTI Grants Programs cover Research Project Grants, Innovation Project Grants and Support Grants for Researchers and Scientists.

Major events such as the Annual Science Conference are coordinated by the PR division and the Executive Management.

The team’s primary role is to provide RST system management, control and reporting on all internal processes.


The F&A team provides important role of support and administration to all the program activities within the Secretariat.
