We provide:

  • Advice and Policy concerning science technology and innovation,
  • Research and Development Investment that include, identification, formulation and institutionalization of systems and processes to improve productive functioning and management of science programs. We provide competitive grants through annual call for research grants and fellowships.
  • Advocacy, Knowledge Access and Connectivity – Heighten role of science, enhance outreach of science, communication of science policies and improve access of information for greater and appropriate use and application.
  • Quality and benchmark – that create, feed and support manage systems for prudent organizational performance and outcomes.
  • Institutional development and partnerships – create robust financial management system that provide administrative operations for productive reliable engagements with stakeholders.

Our Team

 

The organization is dedicated to advancing science, technology and innovation through various specialized divisions.

The Executive Management – Support operation of the council, overall supervision, guidance, and functioning of the Council Secretariat operations, including stakeholder engagement, coordination and creating conducive landscape for stronger interface between science and policy.

Policy Division – Research and formulating new policy intervention, create agenda and discussion forum on subject-specific issues and policy opportunities. Liaise with other sectors on policy matters

Infrastructure Division – Plan and execute investments and maintenance of the depilated research Infrastructure system within research institutions and universities. Conduct national capacity assessment surveys to identify and address gaps within science facility investment plan.

Grants Management Division – Scientific research investments including announcement of grants, grant assessment and approval, disbursement, performance monitoring and evaluation. Currently, the Team provides assessment and recommendation by intending Foreign Researchers.  

Public Relations and Liaison Division -Providing science communication services to the public and external stakeholders through platforms like the National Science & Technology Conference, National Science & Technology Awards and Fellowship, including special awards for Women in STEM & Industry.

Research, Science and Technology Management Division – Formulation and institutionalization of internal system and processes for a fully sustained efficient conduct, management, coordination and reporting of science. In addition, to initiate and provide coordination of Priority National Research Programs.

Finance & Administration – Provide administrative support to technical program of the council, as planned out for implementation, and to provide administrative functions including budget, finance and regular performance reporting, and human resource.
